Refund Policy

How Refunds Work on Mealsio

When you subscribe to a creator, that creator is the seller and merchant of record for your subscription — payments are processed to the creator through Stripe, and Mealsio operates the platform. This means each creator sets their own refund terms. On top of those, Mealsio guarantees a baseline set of refunds that always apply, regardless of a creator's individual policy.

Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your My Subscriptions page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep access to premium content until then, and you are not billed again. Because billing is monthly, cancelling stops all future charges.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period that has already started.

Mealsio's Baseline Guarantee

No matter what an individual creator's policy says, Mealsio will issue a refund — including our platform fee — in any of these cases, if you contact us within 7 days of the charge:

  • You were charged more than once for the same subscription (a duplicate charge).
  • You were charged in error or because of a billing system fault.
  • You paid but a technical problem on our side prevented you from accessing the content you paid for.
  • The charge was fraudulent or unauthorized.

To request a refund under this guarantee, email support@mealsio.com with your account email and the date of the charge.

Creator Refund Policies

Beyond the baseline guarantee above, each creator decides their own refund policy — they are the seller, and refunds come from their account. Some creators may offer refunds at their discretion; others may not offer refunds beyond Mealsio's baseline guarantee. A creator's individual refund policy, if any, is shown on their profile page.

Where a creator's policy is more generous than this one, the more favorable terms to you apply. To request a refund outside the baseline guarantee, contact support@mealsio.com and we will work with the creator on your request.

Processing

Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
